AMRL
The AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) provides laboratory and quality system assessments for laboratories engaged in the testing of soil and construction materials. AMRL thoroughly inspects test equipment, calibration records, laboratory staff qualifications, quality system procedures, and the accuracy of laboratory test methods to the requirements outlined in AASHTO R18, ASTM C1077 (aggregate), ASTM D3666 (bituminous and aggregate), ASTM D3740 (soil), ASTM E329 (all fields). CCRL
The Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) provides laboratory assessment for laboratories engaged in the testing of hydraulic cement, portland cement concrete, aggregate, steel reinforcing bars, pozzolans, and masonry materials. CCRL thoroughly inspects test equipment, calibration records, laboratory staff qualifications, and laboratory test methods to the requirements outlined in ASTM C1077 (concrete and aggregate). CCRL is a N.I.S.T Research Associate Program sponsored by the ASTM.

Caltrans
